Leadership and Facilitation Issues in Health Care I: The Power
of Beliefs
Individual care givers have diverse beliefs, philosophical ideas,
and spiritual views upon which they rely for guidance, decision
making, and treatment interventions. Contradicting philosophies
hover in the background and influence relationships between policy
makers, care givers and affected families. Lingering moods and
beliefs have a huge impact on our client's chance for recovery.
In this class we will explore the power of beliefs, how they affect
relationship, and ways to facilitate them.

Trauma
and the Body
As the body is the site which houses traumatic experiences it's
imperative that we learn the body's "language" so we
can understand the messages it sends. This weekend we will study
somatic experiencing, how trauma impacts the body and learn body-centered,
practical, non-threatening ways of harnessing the body's instinctive
energies and intelligence inorder to mitigate the effect past
trauma has upon us in the present.

A Magic Theater of Dreams
Dreams are like a magic theater that sums up our experience
in a series of dramatic (or comic), often cryptic scenes. We
will explore dreaming starting with its early use in
psychoanalysis, Jungian analysis, and early dreambody work,
through the dreaming-up process and non-local dream
fields. Emphasis will be on discovering the process of
nighttime dreams in waking experience. We will experiment
with symbolic, structural and shamanic approaches to
dreamwork using theoretical presentations, demonstrations,
and experiential exercises.

The Meaning
and Magic of Dreams & Body Symptoms
Our day and nighttime dreams connect us to our earth based wisdom
and our deepest purpose in life. Our body also dreams through
the experience of body symptoms. By understanding the magical
and mysterious force behind our
symptoms, we discover insights that help us in transforming health
and relationships challenges. With playfulness and curiosity we
will explore the connection between our dreams, our body symptoms,
our relationships, and our life's path.
