2006 Distance Learning
In 2006, the Process Work Institute is expanding its distance
access, and introducing new ways of communicating and connecting
within the wider Process Work learning community. In addition
to the courses and classes that are distance-accessible (marked
),
the following distance learning events will also be offered.

Cyber student meetings
Date to be announced (check this page for updates)
Three days will be chosen for cyber meetings, to provide students
with an opportunity to connect with each other via email and discuss
issues of interest to them. Possible topics may include study
groups, using Process Work in the world, exam preparation and
course content. Students will connect on their own student e-mail
strings and provide their own facilitation.

An Internet coaching class for awareness guerillas who are facing
difficulties inside of organizations or when confronted with them.
We will study participants situations and develop strategies
to raise awareness for yourself and those around you.

Memory Loss, Alzheimers/Dementia, & Altered Consciousness
during Metabolic/ Psychogenic States Near Death

Working with clients, patients, family members, and our own essential
material in states of forgetfulness, confusion, stupor, semi-coma,
and deeply altered consciousness. Each class will cover one of
the title topics, process our own sacred depths, and gain insight
and empathy for others and ourselves.

Of Cabbages & Kings: Qualitative Methods
for Process Work Researchers
Spring 10am-1pm; Saturday, July 8,15,
22, 29; Four-week course
Tuition: $155 (1 credit)
Researchers talk of many things in various research languages.
This course will introduce you to the language of qualitative
research, and explore a variety of ideas, methods and approaches
useful for conducting a Process Work research project. We will
use teleconferencing and the internet to share ideas, reading,
methods practice, dilemmas and breakthroughs.

Sacred Depths II: Somebody Is Always Home
during Traumatic Brain Injury, Vegetative States, & Deep Meditation
Spring 10am-12pm; Thursday, July 6,
13, 20; Three-week course
Tuition: $80; Hospice & nursing home volunteers $55

As long as there is breath there is consciousness. We will cover
the latest exciting Western medical research regarding traumatic
brain injury, so called vegetative states, and deep meditation.

Professional, Family, & Volunteer Caregivers of People in
Altered Consciousness
Fall 10am-12pm; Thursday, Nov. 2, 9,
16; Three-week course
Tuition: $80; Hospice & nursing home volunteers $55

Working with people in states of confusion and stupor, late stage
Alzheimers and other dementias, traumatic brain injury,
vegetative states, and metabolic/psychogenic coma states near
death. Working with patients and care givers stuck
places, especially in regard to signal systems, symbolic language,
relationships, family, health care systems, and caregiver care.
