Frequently Asked Questions

Jan Dworkin, Ph.D. is a certified process worker living in Portland, Oregon. One of Arny Mindell’s original students, Jan is a pioneer and co-creator of Process Work theory and practice, who has been developing, researching and refining Process Work for over twenty years. Her Ph.D dissertation on Group Process Work (now known as Worldwork) was one of the first texts written on that theme. She has co-founded and co-authored various Process Work training programs both in the U.S.A. and abroad.

She works as a teacher, therapist and group facilitator and conducts training workshops and public seminars internationally. She specializes in group process and conflict facilitation, relationship work, sexuality and addictions work. In the moment, her main research interest is in the development of Worldwork theory and its multiple applications.

Jan is passionately involved with her creative process. She is a painter who tries to bring out the deepest essence behind a human face. She is writing a personal memoir about her journey in Process Work as a spiritual path. And she is an avid long distance road cyclist. Above all else, Jan tries to follow the unpredictable direction of Spirit in whatever she undertakes.
