What does it take to keep showing up — with hope, with heart, with purpose — when the world feels overwhelming?

We warmly invite you to join us for a free, open conversation with Vassiliki Katrivanou, a woman with a rare and grounded perspective, shaped by years at the intersection of politics, psychology, and human rights. As a former member of the Greek Parliament, a processwork therapist, and someone currently working on the front lines of the refugee crisis at the Greek Council for Refugees, Vassiliki brings a rare and deeply grounded perspective on what it means to lead in difficult times.

In this gathering, Vassiliki will share from her own experience — navigating political life, supporting refugees, empowering women in leadership, and working across deep cultural divides — and she’ll open the floor to explore together:

  • What actually creates change, whether small or sweeping?
  • How do we work with hopelessness — personally and collectively?
  • How can a process-oriented lens help us find our footing and keep moving forward?

This is not a lecture to sit back and receive. It’s a living conversation, shaped by everyone in the room. Come with your questions, your struggles, your sense of what’s needed in the world right now.

Vassiliki holds a Diploma and Masters in Process Work, a Masters in Conflict Resolution from Portland State University, and brings decades of experience as a leadership facilitator, conflict resolution trainer, and organizational consultant. She is also the co-director of “The Women of Cyprus,” a documentary about Turkish and Greek Cypriot women navigating conflict together.

About Vassiliki

Vassiliki

Vassiliki Katrivanou works in Greece and internationally as a processwork therapist, leadership facilitator and coach, conflict resolution trainer, and organizational consultant. She is currently working at the Greek Council for Refugees.

She was a member of the Greek Parliament (2012–2016) and a Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (2014–2016). Her main focus is on human rights: immigration and refugees, the far right and antifascist movement, and the rights of women and the LGBTQI community.

Vassiliki’s core interests lie in leadership development and conflict resolution, and in exploring how politics and psychology can work together. She is passionate about empowering women in leadership and facilitates trainings for women politicians and activists. She also incorporates learnings from indigenous traditions into her work.

In collaboration with Bushra Azzouz, she co-directed the documentary “The Women of Cyprus,” which portrays how a group of Turkish and Greek Cypriot women navigate conflict together.

Vassiliki holds a Diploma and a Masters in Process Work, a BA in International Studies, and a Masters in Conflict Resolution from Portland State University. She has been trained in Systems Theory and Group Dynamics at the Athenian Institute of Anthropos in Athens, and as a coach at the Global Coaching Institute, accredited by the International Coaching Federation.
